About Us

Working from a studio in Usonia, the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed community in Pleasantville, New York, the award-winning firm of Steven R. Krog, Landscape Architect, PC, specializes in the design of meticulously crafted residential gardens that bear the strong imprint of their owners’ dreams, needs and intentions.  We believe in listening – to our clients’ aspirations and to the site’s natural, evocative qualities.  We encourage our clients to be active participants with us in the design process. The gardens that emerge from this attentiveness can be intimate or grand, but are, without fail, experientially rich, functionally sound, horticulturally diverse and complementary of their architectural and historical context. Eschewing a signature style, we endeavor to create, with and for each client, a garden that is uniquely theirs, not a designer’s imposition.

Since its founding in 1982, Steven R. Krog, Landscape Architect, PC, has designed projects throughout North America and has enjoyed the benefits of enduring client relationships that allow us to make on-going recommendations for the refinement of ever-changing landscapes.  Our built projects have appeared in numerous publications including Architectural Digest, House & Garden and Veranda. Current and previous commissions range in size from Manhattan roof terraces to a 125 acre country estate.

Steven R. Krog, Landscape Architect, PC, provides the full range of professional design services from conceptual site planning through design development, construction drawings, bidding and construction observation.  Additionally, the firm has forged alliances with aesthetically sensitive and technically proficient masons, ironworkers, carpenters and horticulturalists who can be called upon to implement work of exemplary craft coupled with moments of serendipity, these being the hallmarks of a Steven R. Krog garden.
